An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Type U-IX long-range submarine of the Second World War in 1:350 scale from Bronco. The set contains a two-part hull and photo-etched parts for the fine items. It is the first type of the extensive family of Type IX submarines.
The Type IX boats were large German ocean-going submarines developed from the second half of the 1930s and intended for long-range operations on the open sea. Thanks to their great range they worked even in distant areas of the Atlantic and beyond. They carried torpedo and gun armament and formed the backbone of the long-range operations of the German submarine fleet.
Glue the hull carefully and sand the seams down. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spraying the model with an airbrush over a filler is recommended, with the detail brought out by a wash; a separate stand suits the display. Choose the decals according to the instructions provided.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
