Quickboost P-40 Tomahawk Mk.IIA pitot tubes is a resin set of replacement pitot tubes for the Curtiss Tomahawk Mk.IIA fighter in 1:48 scale. This is a detail accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Quickboost set (a range of the Aires company) holds resin replacement pitot tubes, the airspeed sensors, for the early Curtiss P-40 in its British designation Tomahawk Mk.IIA, in 1:48 scale. It is a small but prominent detail accessory that replaces the fragile and often oversized plastic part from a kit.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War. The early versions with the Allison engine delivered to Britain carried the designation Tomahawk, and the Mk.IIA corresponded to one of the first variants committed to combat. The pitot tube measured the airspeed and was placed on the leading edge of the wing.
Carefully remove the castings from the casting block and clean them up. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. The tubes are usually painted in a metallic shade, with a darker tip.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
