This resin set represents heavy S-21 unguided rockets together with the PU-12-40UD launcher, which carried the designation Voron. The name gives two pieces. It is not a kit of an airplane but armament to be hung under the wing of a model in 1:48 scale that has already been built.
The S-21 is one of the heavy large-caliber unguided aircraft rockets that were used against ground as well as air targets at a time when guided missiles were not yet common. The rocket was hung on a rack under the wing or the fuselage and was launched by aiming the whole aircraft directly, so accuracy depended on the pilot. Its characteristic features are a sturdy shape with pronounced stabilizing fins and a fairly large body diameter in relation to the dimensions of the carrier aircraft.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water and let them dry properly. Cut the casting blocks away with a fine-bladed saw, cut carefully at the thin fins and level the surface with a file. It is glued with cyanoacrylate; a heavier piece is best attached to the mounting through a short wire pin so that the joint does not give way. Before painting, spray a fine primer, which will reveal bubbles in the casting. Hang both rockets symmetrically and, before the glue dries, look at the model from the front so that one does not point somewhere different from the other. The body is usually painted smoothly and cleanly; suggest wear only sparingly on the launcher.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a model of the aircraft; glue and paints are not included in the package.
