Salmson 2A2 Special Paper Painting Mask 1:48 is a masking set for spraying, made according to the name on a special paper carrier. It is not a kit and not decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models serves to spray the markings or the finish onto a model of the Salmson 2A2 aircraft in 1:48 scale. What sets it apart from ordinary film masks is the paper carrier named in the title: paper follows rounded surfaces better and springs back less, but on the other hand it takes wet paint worse than vinyl, so you have to spray really thinly. You will find no parts of the model in the package.
The Salmson 2A2 was a French two-seat observation biplane of the end of the First World War with a water-cooled radial engine. It served with French and foreign units alike and was also built under license in Japan. The combination of fabric-covered surfaces and large national insignia makes it a type on which sprayed markings pay off, because decals settle on ribbed covering only with difficulty.
The surface has to be dry, smooth and free of grease. Lay the paper mask on and press the edges down carefully, working in sections on rounded surfaces. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and perpendicular to the surface; let each coat set. Remove the mask as soon as possible, as soon as the paint stops being glossy, so that the edge does not come away with the finish. Any adhesive residue can be removed with a cotton bud lightly moistened with alcohol, always only after the paint has cured.
Paints, clear coat and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
