A resin figure to be painted, not a model. This resin casting from the Czech brand Aerobonus (Aires) in 1:48 scale shows a Soviet fighter pilot and comes with a seat for kits of the Polikarpov I-153 biplane. The figure serves to enliven a cockpit or a diorama and is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet fighter biplane with a characteristic gulled upper wing and retractable landing gear. It appeared at the end of the 1930s and saw combat in the conflicts of the prewar period and in the first phases of the Second World War. A pilot in the flying kit of the day is a natural complement to a model of this machine.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Try both the seat and the figure dry in the cockpit before fitting them. Apply primer before painting; an airbrush will handle the flying suit, while a brush is for the face and the details. A wash and oil shading will give the figure relief.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
