Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways while sanding. Build the base up with a quality primer. Paint the flight suits in muted shades, bring out the recesses with a wash and pick out the folds with oils. Match the seats to the color scheme of the cockpit of the base model.
