The resin figure US Navy pilot, Second World War — Pacific in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus. A figure to be painted and set into a scene; this is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a pilot of American naval aviation from the Second World War in the Pacific theater, in 1:48 scale from Aerobonus (the Aires range). It is not an airplane model, but an accessory figure meant to be painted and set beside a model or into an airfield or carrier-deck scene. The figure suits American carrier fighters and bombers deployed in the Pacific.
US Navy pilots in the Pacific wore typical flight gear — a flight suit or khaki uniform, a life vest and a helmet with goggles. The figure gives a model or a diorama a human scale and suits machines operating from aircraft carriers as well as from land bases in the years 1941 to 1945.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the joints with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the figure before final assembly; a primer, matte khaki and flight-suit shades, a prominent life vest and a face brought out with a dry brush and glazing all work well.
The figure is supplied unpainted and cast in resin, to be glued and painted. Paints, glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
