Painting masks for the F-8E Crusader (1:48, Furball Aero-Design)

A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in 1:48 scale from Furball Aero-Design. The masks serve for a quick and clean spraying of the canopy frames and of the other transparent parts on a model of the American Vought F-8E Crusader carrier fighter. They are designed to fit the glazing of the matching type of kit in this scale exactly. They follow the dimensions of the Hasegawa kit.

What the masks are for

The pre-cut masks copy the shape of the glazing and create a crisp edge between the frame and the clear area. The modeler avoids the laborious taping of the frames and gets faithful, clean glazing with no paint bleeding under the edge.

Use

• Peel the mask off and lay it on the relevant glazing part
• Press the edges down so that they seal well
• Spray over it with the frame color, first with the interior color if needed
• Once dry, remove the masks carefully
