WWII Road Signs, part two is a printed paper sheet with period markings from the Second World War in 1:6 scale. It is a diorama accessory, not a model and not a decal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A continuation of the range of printed sheets with period markings for large dioramas in 1:6 scale. The sheet is paper: the designs are cut out and glued to a carrier of your own, they are not transferred in water like a decal, and it is not a kit. The use is purely scenic — period images that serve to make the scene convincing.
The method is simple and quick: glue the design over its whole area to thin plastic, card or metal sheet, let it dry under a weight and only then cut the outline. Go over the resulting edge with dark paint so that it does not show. You make a double-sided sign from two cut pieces back to back with a stiffener between them. Build the supporting structure to suit the scene — a wooden strip, a tube, a wooden stake. Plan the structure according to the actual print.
In a large scale smooth paper is conspicuous, so it pays to add texture: a very fine spray of matte paint from a distance, careful rubbing of the edges with a dry brush and a weak dust shade at the foot. A slight dent pushed in from behind is also effective and suggests wear. Do not place the sign exactly square to the viewer — turning it and tilting it slightly give the scene a natural look. A final matte varnish blends the sheen and stiffens the paper.
This is a printed paper accessory for a diorama, not a model. Backing material, glue and paints are not included in the package.
