A resin kit of the American battleship USS Idaho BB 24 in her state from 1909, in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The model is intended for experienced modelers with experience of resin. The castings capture the silhouette of a smaller pre-dreadnought.
USS Idaho was the second unit of the Mississippi class, commissioned in 1908. She belonged to the deliberately smaller and cheaper pre-dreadnoughts with a main battery of guns of twelve inches and secondary guns of eight and seven inches. The ship was later sold to Greece and renamed.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue gates and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model suits a base or a water surface (waterline). A primer and shades of naval gray with suitable accenting of the decks and the superstructure are recommended. Fine railings and fittings can be added with photo-etched parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
