Fujimi — dry transfers for IJN Ryuho 1942, 1:700 is a set of markings transferred by rubbing, intended for the model of the Japanese light aircraft carrier Ryuho in her 1942 form.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of markings from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi for the model of the light aircraft carrier Ryuho in 1:700 scale in her 1942 version. Unlike conventional waterslide decals, this technology is applied dry — the motif is transferred to the model by pressing it down and running a blunt tip over it, with no soaking and no risk of silvering of the carrier film.
Ryuho was created by the conversion of the submarine tender Taigei and entered service as a light aircraft carrier at the end of 1942. She served mainly to train carrier pilots and to ferry aircraft; late in the war she was heavily damaged in air raids and was scrapped after the war. The 1942 version captures the ship shortly after the conversion was finished.
First position the motif precisely, then run a blunt tip or a small spatula over it through the cover film step by step until the whole motif adheres. Peel the film off slowly and at an acute angle. Protect the finished markings with a coat of clear varnish. Work on a clean, dry and smooth surface.
This is an add-on to a model, not a standalone kit. The base ship model is not included in the package.
