Japanese Navy Battleship Nagato Full Hull is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Japanese battleship in 1:700 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi, in the full-hull version.

A model of the Japanese battleship Nagato in 1:700 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. According to the name the injection-molded plastic kit is in the Full Hull version, that is, with the whole hull including the underwater part, and is meant for display on a stand. The Nagato is among the best-known Japanese battleships and in 1:700 scale she fits well into a collection beside cruisers and aircraft carriers.
The Nagato was the lead ship of the class of the same name and at the time of her completion was among the first battleships in the world armed with 41 cm guns. The main armament consisted of eight of these guns in four twin turrets. After her interwar modernization the ship gained a characteristic tall superstructure and strengthened armor. For a long time she served as the flagship of the Combined Fleet and was one of the symbols of Japanese naval power. She was the only Japanese battleship to come through the war and she perished only in 1946 during the nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll.
Glue the hull and let it cure, then sand the parting line on the keel wet with fine paper. Build and paint the tall superstructure separately and fit it only onto a finished hull. Use a thin liquid cement for plastic applied into the joint on the tip of a brush. It is advisable to leave the gun turrets free to rotate if the design allows. The small anti-aircraft armament and the booms belong on the model only at the end. The model gains markedly from photo-etched railings, which are supplied separately. The particular shades of the Imperial Japanese Navy differed according to the shipyard and the period, so go by the instructions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
