1:700 IJN Mutsu 1943 Wooden Deck

Wooden deck, the battleship IJN Mutsu (1943) 1:700

A detail accessory set, a wooden deck for improving a plastic model of the Japanese battleship Mutsu in her 1943 state, in 1:700 scale. The self-adhesive wooden sheet imitates the structure of the deck planks and replaces the smooth plastic deck of the base kit. This is not a model but an accessory.

What the set contains

• Self-adhesive wooden deck sheet with individual planks imitated
• Pre-cut shapes matching the deck of the particular ship
• Instructions for placing the parts

Use and fitting

The deck sheet is self-adhesive: once the plastic deck has been cleaned and degreased, lay the parts on, check how they sit and press them down gradually. Glue any smaller accessories, where they are included, with cyanoacrylate. It is best to apply the set with the shape of the particular deck in mind and to trim it as needed.

Who the set is for

• Modelers who want a realistic wooden deck instead of painting plastic
• Anyone after a higher level of detail on a ship model in this scale
• More advanced modelers used to working with self-adhesive detail sets

The wooden deck is supplied as a self-adhesive accessory; paints, glue and a kit are not included in the package.
