An add-on set in 1:700 scale for the Very Fire Montana BB-67 battleship kit (VF700901), in the blue deck version.
Responsibility details are not available.
Montana BB-67 was to be the largest American battleship of the Second World War. The design called for a more massive hull, heavier armor and a larger heavy armament than the Iowa class ships had. She was never built, though; the program was canceled in favor of aircraft carriers. The model is therefore based on design documents and belongs among the popular so-called unbuilt ships.
The set is tailored to the Very Fire VF700901 kit in 1:700 scale, so the shapes of the parts follow it directly. It comes in the blue deck version. The exact contents of the set and the recommended procedure are given in the instructions from the manufacturer; follow them when working out the order of the work as well.
Before you start, dry fit the parts to the kit and check whether a molded detail gets in the way anywhere and has to be removed first. Clean the surface of the kit, get rid of dust and degrease it, otherwise the joint may not hold. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off with fine abrasive paper. Work on a light-colored surface; small parts in this scale are easily lost.
The set is aimed at the modeler who is building this particular kit and wants to take the deck area further than the basic contents of the box allow. It assumes patient work with small parts and a steady hand.
The delivery contains the add-on set. The kit, paints and glue are not included unless stated otherwise.
