The Artwox Model 1:700 deck masking sheet for the USS Missouri BB-63 model is a set of self-adhesive masks for spraying the deck surfaces, not a kit. It is cut for the Academy 14222A kit.

Pre-cut self-adhesive masks from Artwox Model for spraying the deck of a model of the American battleship USS Missouri BB-63. The sheet follows the outline of the deck surfaces including the cutouts around the barbettes and the bases of the superstructure, so the laborious tracing of complicated shapes with tape is no longer needed. The set is cut for the Academy 14222A kit.
On a battleship the deck breaks around the barbettes of the gun turrets, around the bases of the superstructure and at a number of hatches. These curves and corners are exactly where masking by hand with tape fails and where a pre-cut template saves the most time. It pays to go over every cutout with a toothpick once it is in place and press it down all the way around; paint almost always creeps under only where the mask does not sit down in a sharp corner.
Degrease the plastic and let it dry completely. Spray in thin coats and direct the stream at right angles to the edge of the mask, never at a sharp angle into the corner. Pull the masks off at a shallow angle while the paint is freshly dry. If any adhesive residue is left behind, wipe it off with a cloth and a little alcohol once the paint has cured completely. Touch up small runs under the mask with a fine brush; masking again for their sake is not worth it.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. The kit and paints are not included in the package.
