A fine photo-etched accessory from Tetra Model Works in 1:700 scale. This is not a model but a set of ship railings that you fit onto the decks and superstructure of models of Japanese warships of the period of the Second World War. The photo-etch replaces coarse or entirely missing plastic railings with thin parts that are true to scale.
Railings ran along the decks, bridges and walkways of practically every warship of the Imperial Japanese Navy. In 1:700 scale they are a small but essential element that markedly raises the realism of a model, because plastic castings tend to be too thick at this scale.
Separate the strips of railing with a sharp knife and fit them to the shape of the deck; on the curves, shape them carefully in short sections. Glue them on with a tiny drop of super glue. Degrease the photo-etch and go over it with a primer before painting so that the paint holds.
This is an accessory, not a ship model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
