A set of turned metal barrels in 1:700 scale from RB model. It is not a ship kit but a detail accessory for the Japanese battleships of the Yamato class. The metal barrels have a perfectly cylindrical shape and drilled muzzles, which stands out markedly on the silhouette of these giant guns.
The battleships of the Yamato class carried nine main guns of 460 mm (18.1 inches) caliber of the Type 94 design, the largest guns ever fitted to a warship. They were housed in three triple turrets and fired shells weighing over 1400 kilograms. Yamato and Musashi were among the heaviest battleships in history.
Clean the barrels up and glue them into the triple turrets with super glue. Degrease before painting and apply a base for metal, then the top shade. A metal barrel gives a model a convincing sense of scale even in 1:700.
The package holds only the turned barrels, not the whole model. Glue and paints are not included.
