The AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with a crew of two seated in tandem, with stub wings for external stores and a cannon under the forward fuselage. The Longbow version is recognized by the cylindrical radar housing above the main rotor head. The radar in this position lets the machine pick out targets from behind a terrain feature without having to expose itself completely.

Building and painting tips

The parts in this set are not polystyrene, so plastic cement has no effect on them. Proceed as follows:

• Cut surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder away carefully
• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let them dry
• Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a small amount
• Try the seating dry first and adjust the kit plastic as needed
• Apply a base coat before painting, otherwise the layer will hold poorly
