An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer UM (UniModels). The subject is an armored train of the OB-3 type, designated as train No. 1 of the 23rd Battalion. The OB-3 type represents the standardized version of Soviet armored trains.
Armored trains of the OB-3 type brought together an armored locomotive, artillery and air defense cars and control platforms. They served for fire support, for protecting the line and for transport. A particular formation was tied to a particular unit, here the 23rd Battalion.
Use liquid cement for plastic and work from the chassis and the running gear upward. Cut the tiny parts of the armor and the armament away with care. Rust shades, washes in the riveted gaps and dust pigments suit the patina. We recommend a primer and an airbrush.
