A New Ware masking set at the ADVANCED level for a model of the Boeing B-52G Stratofortress strategic bomber in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut from kabuki (washi) tape, they follow the glazing frames exactly and lift off with no adhesive residue. The ADVANCED level takes in the wheels and further detail elements besides the cockpit glazing.
The Boeing B-52 Stratofortress is an eight-engine subsonic strategic bomber with long range, and it has formed the backbone of the strike forces for decades. The B-52G version brought a lighter wing structure with integral tanks and a reworked tail arrangement, which increased the aircraft's range markedly.
On a large bomber model accurate masks pay off especially on the intricate glazing of the flight deck. Lay the mask on degreased areas, mask the lower parts with tape and apply the paint in thin coats. Mask the wheels before the tires are sprayed, so that the rims stay clean.
These are self-adhesive painting masks, not a model. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
