Turned metal barrels for the .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning M2 aircraft machine gun in 1:48 scale – two pieces by MASTER.
Responsibility details are not available.
A universal set of two turned metal barrels for the .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning M2 aircraft machine gun, in 1:48 scale. The Polish manufacturer MASTER turns the barrels from metal with accurate geometry and a bored-out muzzle, which clearly outclasses molded plastic. The parts suit detailing a range of models that carried this weapon.
The .50 caliber (12.7 mm) Browning M2 was an American heavy machine gun of the Second World War and postwar era that became a standard aircraft and ground weapon. In its aircraft version it armed a wide range of American fighters and bombers. The bored-out muzzle and barrel are elements that often look too coarse on plastic models.
Cut off the plastic barrels from the kit and replace them with the metal ones, gluing them in place with cyanoacrylate glue. Watch alignment and correct seating. The metal surface holds paint well even after a primer coat; handle the fine parts with tweezers.
This is not a model, but a metal add-on. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
