This set from FineMolds holds a precisely machined metal pitot tube in 1:72 scale for a model of the British BAC Lightning fighter. It is not an airplane model but a refining accessory that replaces the coarser plastic part and raises the fidelity of the finished model.
The BAC Lightning was a British supersonic interceptor of the Cold War with a characteristic arrangement of two engines one above the other and a striking rate of climb. The forward pitot tube was one of its noticeable details.
The metal part is glued with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Fit it only at the end of the build so that it does not get bent, and clean up and repaint any joint to match the rest of the model.
This is a stand-alone accessory, not an airplane model. The model is not included.
