An unmade bed in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer MAiM: a small interior accessory that tells a story even in a small scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bed with its bedding thrown about, which the manufacturer's name also gives in German as Bett, in 1:72 scale from the MAiM brand. This is not a kit but a diorama accessory for interior and ruin scenes. An unmade bed is an unobtrusive but strongly eloquent detail: it suggests that the occupants left in a hurry, that the room was being lived in only moments ago, and it is exactly such traces that turn scenery into a story.
In 1:72 scale the bed comes into its own in bombed houses with an exposed upper floor, in barrack rooms, in field accommodation and in civilian interiors. It works superbly in dioramas with vehicles in 1:72, where a view into a damaged building gives a scene a second plane. A smaller scale means that even a tiny prop creates a big effect, because a bed and an overturned chair are enough for a scene to start telling its tale.
Clean the casting up, wash it and prime it. Treat the frame of the bed as wood or metal to suit the scene you have in mind, and the bedding in light tones with shading in the folds, because a fine wash in the hollows of the cloth creates natural depth. In a ruin scene dust everything with a light pigment so that the bed merges with the rubble around it.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and may need a little cleaning up. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
