AZ model 1:72 Bf 109E-7 Schlacht Emils is an injection-molded plastic kit of the ground-attack version of the German Emil fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AZ model. The E-7 form captures the so-called Schlacht Emils of the Eastern Front, that is fighters used in the role of light ground-attack aircraft and fighter-bombers. The package contains gray plastic sprues, a clear canopy part, decals and color instructions. Markings for several aircraft of 1941 to 1942 are available.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed the Emil, was the main German fighter at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. The E-7 version brought provision for a drop tank or a bomb under the fuselage, which made it a versatile aircraft able to attack ground targets. On the Eastern Front the Emils thus supplemented the work of the ground-attack force in the first months of the campaign.
As with a short-run mold, expect to clean the parts up and test-fit them. Paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. For the Eastern Front, broken-up camouflage and a light accenting of the panels with a wash work well; assemble the load under the fuselage according to the markings you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
