Bf 109G-2 (Trautloft) 1:72 from Mistercraft, an injection-molded plastic kit of the German Gustav fighter in the markings of Hannes Trautloft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale presents the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 fighter, nicknamed the Gustav. The package contains plastic sprues, a clear cockpit part and decals for several options, among them a machine associated with Hannes Trautloft of JG 54. Mistercraft is a Polish brand whose kits come from proven older molds.
The G version, the Gustav, was the most widespread form of the Bf 109. It received the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and became the backbone of the German fighter force from 1942. The early G-2 version did not yet have the characteristic bulges over the gun breeches of the later Gustavs, so it has a smoother outline. It was used above all on the Eastern Front and in the Mediterranean. Hannes Trautloft was a well-known fighter wing commander and one of the veterans of the German fighter force.
Glue the plastic with liquid cement, mask the clear cockpit part and sand the seams. After a primer, paint with an airbrush; the period RLM shades are typical. With an older mold, check the fit of the parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
