This injection-molded plastic kit from the Polish manufacturer Mistercraft represents the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-4 fighter in Hungarian Air Force markings. The Polish manufacturer supplies it as a repackaged kit from an older mold with decals for several color options. The kit suits builders who do not mind a simpler mold and a little cleaning up of the parts.
The Bf 109 G-4 was the fighter version without the characteristic bulges over the guns in the nose, distinguished above all by details of the landing gear and the armament. Hungary, as an ally of Germany, operated a good many Bf 109 G machines on the Eastern Front as well as in the defense of its own territory, so they offer interesting and less usual color schemes.
Clean the parts up and glue them with thin cement for plastic; with an older mold expect to remove flash and possibly to fill the seams. Lay down a primer, paint with an airbrush and apply a gloss varnish before the decals. Take care to place the Hungarian markings precisely.
