An injection-molded plastic kit of the French single-seat fighter Bloch MB.151 C.1 in 1:72 scale from the maker Dora Wings. It is a modern, newly developed mold with fine surface relief, supplemented with photo-etched parts and clear parts for the cockpit. The package contains a decal sheet for several color schemes. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Bloch MB.151 was a French all-metal fighter with a low-wing layout, a radial engine and retractable landing gear. The designation C.1 means a single-seat fighter (chasseur, single-seat). Machines of the MB.151 and MB.152 line made up a substantial part of the fighter strength of the French Air Force in 1940. They were robust and well armed, but their weakness was range and, in the early versions, engine power.
Use thin cement for plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with superglue. The instructions tend to be briefer with this brand, so compare the position of the parts against references beforehand. Protect the cockpit and the clear parts with masks. The model will appreciate a primer and spraying with an airbrush — French camouflage schemes of 1940 formed multicolor patterns, which soft transitions suit.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
