This item is not a model but a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It adds national insignia, squadron codes and personal markings of machines in ordinary Royal Air Force operational service to a kit of the British Boulton Paul Defiant turret fighter. The decals extend the marking options beyond the basic kit.
The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British two-seat fighter with an unusual solution: all its armament consisted of a powered gun turret with four machine guns behind the pilot, and forward-firing guns were absent. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. In the daylight fighting of 1940 it suffered heavy losses, because without forward armament it was at a disadvantage against conventional fighters, and its career therefore gradually moved on to other duties.
Coat the area under the decals with gloss varnish so that the edges do not turn white. Dip the motif in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the model. A softener will help the decal settle into the engraved detail, and a final coat of varnish unifies everything.
This is a decal set, not a model. To use it you need a separate kit of the Boulton Paul Defiant in 1:72 scale. Paints, glue and varnish are not included in the package.
