AML canopy and masks for the Lavochkin La-5 1:72 is a vacuum-formed clear canopy together with painting masks for models of the La-5 fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer AML holds a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy and, with it, painting masks for models of the Soviet Lavochkin La-5 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the canopy from the kit with a thinner, cleaner part and makes masking the frames easier when spraying.
Cut the vacuform canopy out with a margin and sand it down to the outline on fine abrasive paper. It is glued with a clear canopy glue or with thin cyanoacrylate glue, so that no fogging occurs. Stick the masks on before spraying, and thanks to them you get sharp transitions between the frame and the glazing. A thin vacuform canopy looks finer on a build than the thicker part from the kit.
