Decals for the Dornier Do 215 B and Do 17 S, part two, 1:72 from the Hungarian brand HAD models are a sheet of waterslide decals following on from the first part of the range. It is an accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second part of a two-part range of sheets from HAD models with the period markings of the twin-engine Dornier Do 215 B and Do 17 S. The sheet follows on from the first part and brings further marking variants, and the contents of the two parts do not overlap. It serves as a replacement for or an addition to the decals from the box and is prepared in 1:72 scale.
The Do 17 is a family of slender twin-engine aircraft of the middle 1930s, recognizable by its twin vertical tail surfaces and narrow fuselage. The S version was a reconnaissance pattern built in a small batch. The Do 215 B is a type derived from it with liquid-cooled inline engines, with a glazed nose and the crew gathered in one cabin. Both types were used on reconnaissance and bombing duties and are among the less usual subjects in the modeling range.
On these aircraft the markings often lie close to glazing frames and engraved lines, so cut the decals close to the artwork. Go over the base with gloss clear coat, lay the decal down over a thin film of water and line it up against the engraving rather than by eye. Apply the softener weakly and repeatedly until the decal follows the surface. Leave the unifying matte varnish for the end and do the washes only after it, or the paint will run under the edges.
This is a sheet of decals in its own right, not a kit. The model, paints, varnishes and softeners are not included in the package.
