The British L1A1 SLR self-loading rifle in 1:35 scale is small armament for scenes with British and Allied units.
Responsibility details are not available.
Small armament for building scenes with infantry. The designation L1A1 and the count of four pieces are taken from the name of the item; more detailed specifications are not contained in it.
The L1A1 is a licensed version of the Belgian FAL rifle adapted for production in Britain and in other states of the Commonwealth. The dimensions of the parts come from the inch system, so the components are not interchangeable with the continental form, and the trigger mechanism allows single shots only. It stayed in service from the end of the nineteen fifties for long decades and accompanied British, Australian, New Zealand and Canadian units in the most varied settings, from Europe to southeast Asia.
British and Australian equipment has a coloring of its own, which it is good to carry over onto the weapon as well; a sling in a different tone from American gear places a scene at once. Work the parts of the stock according to the period you are building and leave them noticeably warmer than the metal surfaces. Tiny pieces are easier to work while you hold them in tweezers or stuck to a skewer than when you take them in your fingers. Leave the front sight and the rear sight sharp, it is exactly by those that a viewer recognizes careful work.
