The decal set Red Stars in the Sky in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer AML — a sheet of Soviet national insignia for aircraft models, a practical rescue for older kits and a route to a consistent look for a collection.

The sheet of red stars from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:72 scale is a small but immensely practical accessory. Soviet equipment is among the most built subjects there is, and the national insignia tend to be the weakest point of many kits; this sheet is meant to settle that once and for all.
There are three typical situations. The first: you are building an older kit and the original decals crack or stick to themselves once soaked. The second: the insignia in the kit are the wrong size or shade and spoil an otherwise successful model. The third: you are building several Soviet aircraft side by side for a collection or a diorama and you want the markings to look consistent. In all these cases a stand-alone sheet from a decal specialist saves a great deal of trouble.
Cut every star out close to the print so that no surplus carrier film is left around it. Work on a gloss base, position the decal with a wet brush and press the surplus water out from the center toward the edges. On wavy surfaces and engraved lines use a decal softener and let the decal dry without touching it. Finally seal everything with varnish, flat, satin or gloss according to the character of the aircraft.
This is a decal sheet, an accessory rather than a kit. The particular number and sizes of the stars follow the manufacturer's current release.
