This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the American Diamond T 969 heavy recovery and wrecker truck completed with a 12.7 mm M2 heavy machine gun. The set contains photo-etched parts for the fine detail. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted with a decal sheet.
The Diamond T 969 was an American four-ton truck with 6x6 drive, adapted as a recovery and wrecker vehicle with a crane and a winch. During the Second World War it served with the Allied armies for recovering and repairing damaged and bogged-down vehicles. The additional M2 machine gun served for defense against ground and air targets.
In a small scale, glue the tiny photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and with patience. Assemble and test-fit the chassis and the crane superstructure before painting. Once the base shade is on, bring the vehicle to life with washes in the details and with light dust and mud effects, which underline the working character of the vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
