A sheet of decals for the Fieseler Fi 156C in 1:72. Six machines from postwar Poland, military as well as civil, and with them cut-out masks for the glazing of the canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fieseler Fi 156 first flew in 1936 and to this day counts as a textbook example of an aircraft with an extremely short takeoff. Automatic slats along the whole leading edge, flaps across the whole span and tall landing gear legs with long travel let it lift off a meadow in a few dozen meters and land almost in its own tracks. The glazing of the cabin reached below the level of the crew's shoulders, so the observer could see directly beneath him.
This sheet is devoted entirely to Poland after the Second World War. Three machines serve with the 9th independent liaison flight and carry markings of 1948, one of them a three-digit works number on top of that. The remaining three flew civilly: two registrations of the beginning of the 1950s and one aircraft of the aeronautical institute in Warsaw, operated between 1954 and 1959. Anyone who wants to build the Storch in something other than the gray-green Luftwaffe camouflage has material here for several examples for a display case. The difference between the military and the civil form is apparent at first glance, because the postwar registrations are written in large letters across the whole side of the fuselage.
Besides the markings you will find a set of masks for the glazing of the canopy in the package. With an aircraft with such extensive glass that is a noticeable saving of time, because sticking narrow strips of tape around every frame member can easily take a whole evening. Cut the individual motifs out close to the edge of the color and lay them on a glossy, degreased surface. A matte coat under the markings is the most frequent cause of the carrier film silvering once dry.
