A set of masks for covering and spraying the wheel bays of the Ta 152H-0 and H-1 aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ta 152H came about as the high-altitude fighter version in the Focke-Wulf line and differs from its predecessors mainly in a wing of substantially greater span. The pre-production machines carried the designation H-0 and the production ones H-1. They reach a collector's display case often precisely because this is a late and easily recognizable type.
The package contains masks for spraying wheel bays in 1:72 scale for the H-0 and H-1 versions. You can use them in two ways: either cover the bay and spray the surrounding area, or, the other way round, cover the surroundings and set the inside of the bay apart with a shade of its own. How many pieces the sheet contains and what they are cut from is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The surface has to be dry, smooth and degreased before the masks are applied, otherwise the edge will not stick and the paint will run under it. Press the mask down with a blunt toothpick, especially in the curves. Spray in light coats and do not run the nozzle across the masked edge at an angle. Once the paint has dried, lift the mask off at an acute angle, slowly and away from the edge, so that the film of paint does not tear away.
It is for modelers who build the Ta 152H with the landing gear lowered and want a clean transition between the bay and the underside of the wing. Several different sets exist under the same name, so check that you are buying the configuration for your own kit. The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
