Responsibility details are not available.
The M46 Patton is an American medium tank from the period shortly after the Second World War. It came about by rebuilding the M26 Pershing tank, received a new powerplant with a transmission and a 90 mm gun. It was deployed in Korea, where it was among the most powerful machines the American army had there. The side covers over the running gear and the boxes for stowing equipment are among the features that change the look of a finished model the most.
Photo-etched side covers over the running gear and stowage boxes for a model of the M46 Patton in 1:35 scale. The set is prepared for the Takom kit with the part number 2117. Thin photo-etched parts capture sheet pieces more faithfully than plastic, which has to be substantially thicker because of production. The list of parts and their placing are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and take the bends along the marked grooves, best of all in a bender. Hold the longer covers against the model dry and check that they follow the outlines of the model, and only then tack them with spots of cyanoacrylate. If you want to dish the covers as on a worn vehicle, shape them carefully over a round rod while they are not yet glued. Before painting, wash the surfaces, degrease them and lay on a base coat meant for metal.
The kit of the tank, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
