A set of self-adhesive spray masks for a model of the Grob Astir CS-77 glider in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a clean paint job. The large hinged canopy of the glider has prominent glazing, where precise masks pay off especially well. The die-cut masks follow the frames of the canopy and ensure sharp edges.
Pre-shaped masks replace the tedious hand cutting of tape. They allow straight, sharp transitions between the frame and the glazing and come off easily after spraying without any adhesive residue.
Clean the glazing, press the masks down along the frames and spray the paint in thin coats. On a glider the canopy frame is usually light, so use an opaque shade and a base coat if needed, to keep show-through to a minimum.
