In German nomenclature the abbreviation V denoted a test machine. The He 219 prototypes differed from the later production aircraft in their equipment, in the arrangement of the armament and in details of the airframe, and they changed in the course of the testing. Large factory codes are a good place to recognize the quality of the trimming. Cut the letters out individually, not as a block, and with a sharp scalpel run the cut close along the printing. Even a faint web of film between the characters creates, once dry, a glossy rectangle that shines out on matte camouflage. Change the blade in your scalpel more often than you feel like: a blunt blade drags the film and tears it. Trim smaller lettering on a glass surface, as the paper under it will blunt the edge within a few cuts.
The decals are an accessory to a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
