An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy 155mm M1918 howitzer in 1:72 scale from First to Fight. It is a compact model of an artillery piece, suitable both as an addition to dioramas and as a standalone example of the armament. Given its extent, the kit is manageable for less experienced modelers too.
The 155mm M1918 howitzer derives from the French Schneider design and was among the standard heavy artillery pieces used by the US Army. It stayed in service for a long time and was used in the Second World War as well. It was a proven weapon for fire support of the infantry.
Bond the small parts with a liquid modeling cement for plastic and work with a sharp knife and tweezers. Apply a primer before painting, then the base shade with an airbrush or a brush. Bring the detail out with a wash into the recesses and a light dry brush on the edges; mud and dust pigments give the gun realistic weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
