Water-slide decals in 1:72 scale for the Polish TS-11 Iskra jet trainer. The third installment of the line sticks to the machines of the naval regiments and brings their fuselage numbers and national insignia.
Responsibility details are not available.
The TS-11 Iskra was the first jet aircraft designed and manufactured from start to finish in Poland. The prototype took off in 1960, the production machines left the hall at Mielec and over time whole generations of Polish pilots passed through the two-seat cockpit. Besides the classic air regiments, the Iskra also reached the units of naval aviation, where it served to train crews operating over the Baltic and along the coast.
While the first two parts mapped the machines of ordinary units, this sheet aims at the naval regiments. On it you will find the fuselage numbers of individual aircraft, the red and white checkerboards, technical lettering and the small markings that differ on naval aircraft from the land-based units. The subjects are listed as particular machines, so the finished build need not stop at a generic scheme.
The base should be smooth and sealed with gloss varnish, or air will be trapped under the decal and the edge will stay visible. Cut the motif out as closely as possible, immerse it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it soak through on a paper backing. Once slid into place it can still be adjusted for a few dozen seconds; after that it only needs gentle drying and fixing with a matte or semi-gloss coat.
The set suits Iskra kits in this size regardless of the manufacturer of the box. The plastic parts and accessories themselves are a matter for another item.
