Responsibility details are not available.
Yahu Models specializes in instrument panels supplied as a finished whole. The modeler does not have to put them together or color them in; the panel is inserted in place of the original part and the cockpit gains legible instruments at a stroke. This item is prepared for the early P-47B version in 1:48 scale.
The Thunderbolt was among the heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. The B version was the first production variant of the family and still carried the classic fuselage spine with a framed canopy, that is the shape called razorback. It was precisely from these machines that the experience came by which the later batches were modified.
It will be appreciated by modelers who do not get on with coloring in small dial faces, and by those who want to save time on a model built with the canopy slid back. It is a simple way to raise the level of the cockpit of a model without having to take the whole interior apart. It will also serve well on an older mold, where the relief of the panel tends to be merely suggested.
