The set is devoted to machines used for government and ceremonial flights, so it offers an elegant civil government scheme of a kind that does not appear often on modeling benches. The sheet is an accessory for a kit, and the aircraft model is not included in the package.
The Il-14 is a twin-engine piston transport aircraft of the 1950s, the successor to the Il-12 type, used in a whole range of Eastern Bloc countries. The Il-14P version served above all to carry passengers on shorter routes, and selected machines were adapted to carry government officials. The type proved itself thanks to its reliability and its modest demands on airfield facilities.
With civil schemes with long lines and lettering, a smooth glossy base is the key. Soak the decals one at a time, seat longer stripes gradually and align them along the longitudinal axis of the fuselage. A softener makes bedding around the windows and doors easier; once dry, overcoat the whole model.
