Rob Taurus 1:72 Ki-43 III Hayabusa is a vacuum-formed clear canopy for a model of the Japanese fighter, as a replacement for the production glazing from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a standalone accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The set from the Czech maker Rob Taurus contains a vacuum-formed clear canopy in 1:72 scale for the Ki-43 III Hayabusa fighter. It replaces the plastic canopy from the base kit, being thinner, cleaner in shape and more transparent.
The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa was a Japanese fighter of the Second World War, famous for its exceptional agility. The Ki-43-III version belonged to the late production variants, with a more powerful engine. The aircraft was widely used by the Japanese Army Air Force.
Cut the canopy carefully out of its backing film, sand the edges down and, for maximum transparency, dip it in a clear gloss varnish. Mask the frames with narrow tape. The thin material also makes it possible to assemble the cockpit in the open position.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
