1:72 Ki-61 II KAI (Bubbletop) Hien, self-adhesive Dead Design masks for spraying the bubble cabin canopy of the fighter Kawasaki Ki-61-II KAI Hien in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A self-adhesive Dead Design masking set for a model of the Japanese fighter Kawasaki Ki-61-II KAI Hien in the late form with a bubble cabin canopy, the bubbletop, in 1:72 scale. A masking accessory for a kit with which you will paint the frames of the domed canopy cleanly and with no creep.
The Ki-61-II KAI was the peak development version of the Hien fighter, with a more powerful inverted V12 engine and a larger wing. The later production machines received a cut-down fuselage spine and a bubble canopy, which gave the pilot a clear view to the rear, a fundamental advantage in air combat. The bubble glazing has a different shape and division from the older form with the fastback rear fuselage, so choose the masks exactly according to the version of the model being built; this set matches the bubbletop form.
Transfer the masks with tweezers and, on the domed surfaces of the bubble canopy, give extra care to smoothing the edges down, so that they follow the curvature exactly. The interior shade is sprayed first, then the camouflage; once dry, carefully take the masks off. The result is fine, straight frame lines even in a small scale.
This is a masking accessory: the airplane kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
