Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from Peewit for plastic models of the Czechoslovak jet trainer Aero L-29 Delfin in 1:72 scale. It is neither a model nor a kit but a painting accessory that is bought separately. The masks are cut to the shape of the glazing of the two-seat canopy and of other surfaces of the model, so you spray the frames with sharp edges without laboriously cutting masking tape. The material conforms to the curvature of the canopy and leaves no adhesive on the part once removed. The masks are cut for the AMK kit.
The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet aircraft of Czechoslovak design and carried the NATO reporting name Maya. At the start of the 1960s it won the competition for a standard trainer and became the standard jet trainer of most Warsaw Pact states; it was built in thousands and a large part went to the Soviet Union. It served for basic and advanced training and was known as an easy-to-handle and robust aircraft.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry. Transfer the masks with tweezers, fit them into the frames and press the edges down with a toothpick against paint seeping under. Spray the shade of the frame first, then the primer and the camouflage, and remove the masks while the paint is still fresh.
This is a masking set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
