The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the main version of this fighter in the opening years of the Second World War and bore the brunt of the fighting during the Battle of Britain. The E-4 version had revised armament and other small improvements; the angular canopy is typical of it. The Emil was among the most feared opponents of Allied fighters in 1940 and was deployed on a number of fronts.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and highlight the cockpit before closing up the fuselage, and mask the clear canopy while spraying. If you want to show the engine or the guns, leave the relevant covers open. Apply a primer and the colors with an airbrush, put the decals on over a gloss coat and bring out the fine engraved panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
