A resin set from the Czech maker AML for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 in the R6 fit with the FuG 350 Naxos device, in 1:72 scale. It lets you build a machine from night fighter service with the specific additions that ordinary Gustav kits do not offer. The castings have a fine surface and, once the casting blocks are cut off, they are glued straight onto the plastic.
The Bf 109G-6 was the most widespread variant of the so-called Gustav. It was powered by an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 605. The R6 field conversion kit added a pair of gun pods under the wing, which raised the firepower against bombers at the cost of poorer agility. The Naxos device served to home in on the emissions of enemy airborne radars and was carried by machines committed to night defense.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, level the surfaces and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Fit the pods only once the lower surface of the wing is finished, so that you can spray under them comfortably. Build night finishes on a saturated but not black shade and take care that the model does not stay flat: lighten the shades panel by panel and keep the transitions soft.
The set is an accessory for a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
