The MiG-21MF Vietnam War 1:72 (Smer) is a straightforward injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary supersonic fighter aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures one of the most widespread versions of the supersonic MiG-21 fighter - the MF variant. The package offers two variants of camouflage and the markings of the North Vietnamese Air Force. It is a straightforward, traditionally engineered kit that is suitable for beginning modelers as well.
The MiG-21 is among the most-produced supersonic fighters in history and served in dozens of countries. The MF version was a multi-role fighter with a more powerful engine and gun armament. The North Vietnamese Air Force deployed MiG-21s at the close of the Vietnam War, where they achieved a number of aerial victories against American aircraft.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement, sand down the mold seams and dry-fit the joints. A filling primer before airbrushing works well, a gloss coat under the decals and a flat coat over them according to the look you want. Vietnamese machines were camouflaged as well as bare metal.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
