This is a finished collector model of the French Morane-Saulnier MS.406 fighter in 1:72 scale from Easy Model. The model carries the markings of No. 2 French fighter flight, Haifa, September 1940. It is factory-assembled and hand-painted, so once unpacked you stand it straight into a display case.
The MS.406 was the first modern French all-metal fighter with an enclosed cockpit and retractable landing gear to enter service in larger numbers before the Second World War. It was marked by armament built around a 20 mm cannon. It served with French units on a number of fronts and other air forces used it as well.
The model has the cockpit, the landing gear and the canopy worked out and tends to be supplied with a base. The color scheme and the markings match the chosen real subject. The surface is weathered at the factory and looks realistic even without further work.
The model is supplied assembled and painted, ready for display. It is not meant for building or gluing.
