Schwarzlose 07/12 Full Jacked 1:72 is a resin set from GasPatch models — a pair of machine guns in the form with a full barrel jacket, an accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not a model of an aircraft. It is replacement armament: according to the name, two resin Schwarzlose machine guns in 1:72 scale in the form with the whole barrel jacket. It is precisely the jacket that is the recognition mark of this weapon and at the same time the place where a molded plastic part usually loses out — you replace a smooth cylinder with no legible transitions or fittings with a casting that has sharp edges.
The Schwarzlose model 07/12 was the standard machine gun of the Austro-Hungarian army, based in design on delayed blowback with a toggle lever. Compared with the weapons of its day it had a short barrel and a sturdy, simple build with a small number of moving parts. It was built in many forms, which differ from one another mainly in the treatment of the barrel jacket and the mounting; this package corresponds to the version with the jacket in its full form, as the manufacturer designates it.
The cylindrical jacket has a smooth surface on which every scratch shows, so after cutting the casting block off, sand gradually through several grits and polish it at the end. Wash the release agent off the parts before painting. On the jacket a dark metallic paint applied with an airbrush in a thin layer looks good — a brush easily leaves marks here. Then bring the details of the mounting out with a dark wash and a fine dry brush. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; for precise seating use tweezers and try the part dry first.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as resin parts to be finished. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
